The Institute for Citizens & Scholars (formerly the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation), has awarded its 2021 Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships, and several philosophy students are among the winners.


The Newcombe Fellowships are awarded to Ph.D. candidates in the humanities and social sciences whose projects address “questions of ethical and religious values in interesting, original, or significant ways.” They fellows are provided with a 12-month award of ,500 to support their final year of dissertation writing.
