Ronin
(1998)
Robert Deniro starts the film like an old French spy
flick and Jean Reno ends it on the same note. In between
director John Frankenheimer takes us on an interesting
ride that often requires our attention and intelligence.
It is fun and engrossing trying to keep up with him.
The film boasts some of the best car chases since "Bullit"
and "The French Connection." Frankenheimer takes us
on two of these rollercoaster jaunts that are exciting
and fun!
The best part of the film is its ambiguity, which proves
that the story is much more important that the mystery.
Note:
Many car chase scenes were filmed in the tunnels of
Paris which often recalled the scenes of the accident
that killed Princess Diana.
