Clay
Pigeons (1998)
Funny, quirky and dark, "Clay Pigeons" will delight
the viewer. Nobody really sheds new light on their talent
except for Jaoquin Phoenix, who is quite apt as the
leading man here. Vince Vaughn reprises his "Swingers"
character but adds a bucolic feel to it. Jeananne Garofalo
joins the film late into the proceedings, but immediately
catches up with the pace set by the rest of the cast.
"Clay Pigeons" is fun. It's when it tries to be cleaver
in it's plot that it fails. The ending just sort of
lays there. But the ride getting to the finale is well
worth the trouble.
