The television versions had the writer credited as Judas Booth. (Produced by Dino De Laurentiis, Music by Brian Eno, Roger Eno, Daniel Lanois, Toto. Elmes is Second Unit Photographer.)

BLUE VELVET (1986) (Lynch also writer, lyricist, music composer) A young man finds an ear in a vacant lot. TWIN PEAKS (1990) ABC TV (Lynch also creator, writer, actor, lyricist) Lynch's first foray into TV series production is a bold, odd weekly soap opera set in the Pacific Northwest that revolves around the murder of the local prom queen, Laura Palmer. It becomes the buzz of the moment and then dies down to cult status. ON THE AIR (1992) ABC TV (Lynch also creator, writer) The worst TV show of the 90's. Set at a low budget 50's TV network variety show. This was Lynch's payback to ABC for the cancellation of "Twin Peaks" and the dumbasses at the network were stupid enough to air it. Lynch surely chuckled all the way to the bank. LOST HIGHWAY (1997) (Lynch also writer, composer, sound) An odd and, as is Lynch's wont, ambiguous film, that revolves around a jazz saxophonist who apparently kills his girlfriend, goes to prison, morphs into a young mechanic, gets released and then morphs back into himself only to become involved in an unexplainable web of nightmares. Starring Bill Pullman, Balthazar Getty, Patricia Arquette, Robert Blake, Henry Rollins, Mink Stole, Gary Busey, Giovanni Ribisi, Richard Pryor, Robert Loggia, Jack Nance, Marilyn Manson, Twiggy Ramirez. (Score music by Billy Corgan, Trent Reznor. Deepak Nayar is Unit Production Manager. Eric DaRe is Art Swing Gang and Property Buyer.)

RELATED FILMS:

FOUR ROOMS (1995) No real connection but piece pays homage to Lynch as well as steals from him. Surely an unintentional rip-off of "Hotel Room" if nothing else.

BOXING HELENA (1993) Film by Lynch's daughter Jennifer

Film Reviews:

Blue Velvet - Ever-spiraling further and further down into the depths of human depravity.

Mullholland Drive - Lynch creates a world as corrupt and frighteningly disturbing as his other film and TV realms. Here, Hollywood is dark and jaded and full of conspiracy.

The Elephant Man - A scenario that is terribly heart-wrenching and yet wonderfully hopeful at the same time.

Eraserhead - Is like visiting some strange, bizarre haunted acid house.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me - Lynch has crafted another Lynchian masterpiece full of subtleties, nuances and hidden meanings.

Hotel Room - A landmark move for David Lynch into the realm of a television anthology series.

Industrial Symphony #1 - A lot of this video reminded me of "Eraserhead." But, alas, this is nowhere near as interesting.

Lynch Shorts - I found a video that had David Lynch's first two well known short films, "The Alphabet" (1968) and "The Grandmother," (1970) the other day, so I rented it. The copy was pretty bad, but you could still see that it was pretty unique stuff.

Lynch Related Reviews:

Zelly and Me - Is a subdued film that wants us to really get emotionally involved and feel sorrow and sympathy for it's characters.

I Don't Know Jack - This video biography of the man serves him quite well.

Pretty as a Picture: The Art of David Lynch - Is interesting stuff at times. But much of the piece is ponderous as it relates several uninteresting and unimportant pieces of information to us.

Lumiere and Companie - The remarkable pieces, from this diverse group of filmmakers, is astounding viewing.

Boxing Helena - The story we are force-fed is so contrived, and so unbelievable, that it is hard not to laugh out loud at times.

Four Rooms - A feature film comprised of four vignettes by new, supposedly exciting filmmakers.
