THE FILMS

The Independent - It’s a great film full of wonderful cameos.

George Wallace: Settin’ the Woods on Fire - Expansive, intricate and in-depth, this documental biography of one of the most controversial figures in the civil rights movement is like a history book come to life.

Rollercoaster - Chock full of more teen angst per second than Melissa Joan Hart having her period, "Rollercoaster" is an awesome film.

Camera Obscura - You will find yourself becoming increasingly and increasingly more bored and disgusted with it.

ZXZW - THE alternative Zombie film festival! Lodger was there with bows on.

American Pimp - One of the most vile, repulsive, degrading, inhuman and suspect films I have ever seen.

Spectres of the Spectrum - You need a degree to understand it all.

BEYOND THE MAT (By Brad Sand) - Paints a beautiful portrait of the lives of these men who make their living smacking the hell out of each other.

Dropping Out - Very seldom do I see a movie where I just can't make up my mind and decide what I think about it.

Too High, Too Wide, Too Long - Highly interesting as a document of Texan artist Bob Wade.

University,Inc. - There is so much going on in "University, Inc." that it's hard to believe it's running time is under an hour.

Moon Over Buffalo - Wow! What a fascinating document.

The Filth and the Fury - Tells the story of the Pistols in a rather typical and chronological narrative arrangement.

Reflections on Love - This is a silly and wonderfully groovy little 12 minute pop film from the mid-60's.

Wonderwall - There's no reason to watch the movie, if you aren't a huge Harrison fan, except as a exercise in witnessing how fucked up the 60's were.

8 1/2 Women - Takes on one of the most outrageous and exciting plots imaginable.

Loving Jezebel - It's easy to like "Loving Jezebel," even though it is nothing new, even if it is just a typical story.

Around the Fire - There are two ways to look at this film: Either it's a very well written Afterschool Special, or it's a really bad teen angst drama.

The Big Kahuna - Is an acting tour-de- force

The Wedding Cow (AKA "Die Hochzeitskuh") - The characters and the actors in the film are so wonderful we don't care if we've seen it before or if we see it coming. It's still a joyride.

The Operator - What nameless, faceless, pointless character will next be used as a villain?

The Last Real Cowboy - Beautifully filmed, perfectly acted and wonderful for almost it's entire running time, the film gets shot in the foot at it's end. What a pity.

Wildflowers - I can't imagine a reason to see the film other than it's a delight to look at.
